DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team.

  • Job experience:
    • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer on commercial projects
  • AWS proficiency:
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (RDS, ElasticCache, EC2, ELB, ECS, S3, ECR, Cloudfront) or an AWS certification at associate level or higher (strongly required as we don’t use AWS only to run EC2 instances for EKS/Kubernetes)
  • Technical skills:
    • Experience with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
    • Proficiency in configuration management systems like Ansible
    • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
    • Familiarity with version control systems such as GitLab and GitHub
    • Scripting skills in Bash and Python
    • Strong knowledge of basic network components and protocols including DNS, DHCP, and IP routing
  • Logging and Monitoring:
    • Experience with one of the logging and monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.
  • Administration and CI/CD:
    • Experience in remote Linux server administration (mandatory)
    • Experience in configuration and administration of Google Business Suite
    • Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and AWS Developer Tools
  • DevOps concepts:
    • Good understanding of key DevOps concepts like Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
  • Problem-Solving and Security:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, including triaging, issue tracking, and issue management
    • Knowledge and understanding of modern approaches to IT infrastructure security organization

Bonus points: 

  • Knowledge of security standards SOC 2 and ISO 27001

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the infrastructure
  • Respond quickly to monitoring alerts
  • Troubleshoot issues with systems and infrastructure
