Typically, the demand for water varies day and night, resulting in variable volumes of water and output pressure by water supply stations. For this reason, they are equipped with various pumps capable of different throughput, output pressure, and power consumption. Wise distribution of load between the pumps provides very significant cost savings on electricity bills.
Therefore, there’s a need for a system that will help reduce costs for water supply stations by remotely monitoring water pump parameters in real-time.
Specifically for this project, Softarex has developed a custom Water Pump Station Management System* that has enabled our Client to automatically manage and optimize operational parameters for water pumps. The software is embedded into multiple PLC (programmable logic controllers) that operate in a real-time Linux environment.
The system allows users to control pumps in real time based on commands generated by the server software. Here’s how it works: the server-side software collects data from the pumps on the current settings and uses a specially developed optimization algorithm to calculate the optimal operating parameters of the water pumps based on the required water supply volume.
Softarex has also created a mobile application that allows operators to monitor the status and parameters of the system in real time, as well as view comprehensive reports.
